To date, granular iron PRBs for the degradation of VOCs in groundwater have been installed at 156 sites, including 113 sites located within the United States, along with 9 PRBs in Canada.  Applications of the PRB technology have occurred at Superfund sites, as part of Brownfield Site Redevelopment, at various active electronics, plating and manufacturing facilities and at former dry cleaning facilities and landfills.

ETI has 19 PRB applications throughout Europe and the United Kingdom.   There are 7 PRBs in Germany, 4 PRB systems in Demark, 1 pilot PRB in Sweden, 2 PRBs in the United Kingdom, 1 PRB in Italy, 2 PRBs in the Netherlands, and 2 PRB systems in Belgium.

ETI's German licensee IMES has 7 PRBs in Germany and 1 full-scale PRB application installed in Italy.

NTP was recently appointed ETI's licensee in the Netherlands. With two PRB systems presently operating in the Netherlands, several others are planned for installation.

Terrsula Ltd. joined ETI’s international license team in 2006 as our representative for permeable reactive barrier (PRB) technology in the United Kingdom.

  ETI's exclusive licensee are Kurita Water Industries Inc. and DOWA Mining Co. Ltd. for the application of our PRB technology throughout Japan.  The first full-scale application was installed near Osaka in June 2002, since then a total of 14 PRBs have been installed throughout Japan.
